Beautiful job. :)  But, i don't like the pins that cames out from the hanldes. It's painful for the hands.
Questions: which steel did you used? size of the knives?

hellou  , This knife is for collector, and he wanted it so . I understand it's not good for long work ...
size was 30 cm and i use EZH special steel for hamon knives similar is K990 from Bohler ..

If I understand your question correctly , so I do not use any paste, hamon is created itself :) at 820 ° C
